Championships Galore

The race serves as the Running Club Collegiate Championship and the Colorado High School Championship. This is the 8th year for the high school championship and the first year for the Running Club Collegiate Championship. Racers from all all over the state, and hopefully the country, will ascend to the beautiful CMC Leadville campus to test their will in the fastest snowshoe race in Colorado.

Crescent Moon Snowshoes sponsors us yet again

Crescent Moon Snowshoes in Boulder, CO will be providing a limited amount of loaner pairs of snowshoes. Runners can demo them on a first come, first served basis. We recommend that you bring your own pair, but we will have demo models available for you to use thanks to Crescent Moon!

Fastest Course in Colorado

Last year, Ethan Pence of Vail set the state high school 5K snowshoe record on this wintry course. We will race on groomed trails that the CMC Ski Area Operations students and faculty maintain. The course full of varied terrain, with ups and downs and the limited oxygen that you should expect in Leadville!
