Haunted Hills Races: fright at every turn!
The 2017 Haunted Hills Races will take place on October 28th. The race will serve as a qualifier for the 2017 NIRCA National Meet. There will be a community mountain bike race, run race, and kid’s race. The community run races feature ghouls and goblins hiding in the forest! Check out last year’s race photos and results here.

The course will be run on CMC Leadville campus trails. The start and finish will take place on the multi-purpose fields. Racers will be on the west trails first and then climb into the eastern trails. There is nearly 500 feet in elevation gain for the 8K course. The 8K will do the beginning 2K loop twice: once at the beginning and again at the end. A course map can be found here. The course is rolling hills and 99.9% on trails. There could be snow. All trails are wide enough to pass. The course will be clearly marked.
Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners in the bike and community run race. The top five overall men and women in the college races will receive awards along with the top overall men’s and women’s teams. The best overall group and individual costume will win a special prize.
